In General

One of the five varista pranas (vital energy), the other four being Prana, Apana, Samana and Vyana. Udana is the vital energy that moves upwards. In the Pranamaya Kosa, Udana flows through the central main nadi called, Susumna (which is popularly known as Kundalini Sakthi). After death of physical body the Udana helps the movements of subtle body to its destination.
