Advaita is considered as the crown of Indian philosophy. It is widely said as non-dualist philosophy. Advaita is unqualified absolutistic-Monist philosophy of vedic origin. The brand of philosophy Advaita was in existence in the vast vedic literature, especially in Upanishads, in a very profound manner. Vyasa by Brahma Sutra consolidated the philosophy. Adi_Sankara, popularized Advaita philosophy by writing commentaries on various Text and arguing with the philosophical luminaries of his time. The advaita school of thought entirely equals soul with Brahman, the Absolute. To Advaita philosophy, world is only an illusion, Maya, and only Brahman exist.
