In General

The mystical syllable Bhuh, Bhuvah, Svah which is chanted before gayatri mantra japa are called Vyahrities. The syllables represent the lower three world: earth, mid world, heaven are not the full representation. There are four other worlds and thus the full vyahriti is of seven worlds. The seven worlds are Bhuh, Bhuvah, Svah, Mahah, Janah, Tapa and Satya.
