(15th Century CE)Raidas is one of the pioneer of Bhakti movement in Kasi. He was believed to be a disciple of Ramananda, the most famous spiritual luminary of his time. Raidas was born to a lower cast parents (camar, the cobbler cast). His parents and near ones did not understand his spiritual aspirations and drive him out of house. The young Raidas along with equally devoted wife spend rest of their life singing the glory of Lord. some of his poetry are still popular
